Regional Rural Banks Recruitment by IBPS CWE for RRB's

IBPS is in action, this time not for recruitment in Public Sector Banks, but for Jobs in Regional Rural Banks.As we have reported earlier in March, 2012, that IBPS will be conducting the Common Written Exam for 82 Regional Banks.This system of Common Written Examination for the Recruitment of Assistants and Officers is approved by the Government of India and has the mandate of each participating RRB.

Earlier IBPS had successfully conducted the Common Written Exam for 19 Public Sector banks for Clerical and PO's and now its time to apply for Jobs in Regional rural Banks.There are approximately 82 Regional Rural Banks that are participating in the Common Written Exam


Why CWE for Regional Rural Banks ?


It is important to note that there had been no hiring is Regional rural Bank since 1990.So we can expect a hiring spree in Regional Rural Bank also.

Another reason for conducting the CWE for RRB's is the huge number of retirement of employees in the coming 2-3 years.As a result, it becomes necessary for IBPS to conduct the CWE on the behalf of Regional Rural Bank.

RRB Notification 2012


The Recruitment Notification for the CWE in Regional Rural Banks is published in the leading National News papers and also on the IBPS Official Website i.e (www.ibps.in). Students who wish to appear for CWE for RRB's must carefully read the detailed Advt. given at the end of this post and apply only in case they satisfy the Eligibility criteria.

The RRB Recruitment Notification 2012 is a common Notification for both Assistants and Officers.A candidate can apply for the post of Assistants and also for the post of Officers.However it is mandatory that Candidates apply for apply separately for each post and also pay the Application fees for each of the posts separately

Important Dates

The starting date for Online Registration is 1st June, 2012 and the last date for submitting the Online application is 25th June, 2012.

Date of Written Exam : i)  For Officers :     2nd Sept, 2012
                                 ii) For Assistants : 9th September, 2012

 The Online Payment of application fees will begin from 1st June and will end on 25th June, 2012.However, the offline payment of application fees, candidates must deposit the fees in between 4th June to 30th June, 2012.

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.06.2012)


Those candidates who wish to appear in the CWE for RRB's are required to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria


Age Limit: i) For Assistants: Min: 18 years and Max: 28 years
               ii) For Scale-I Officers: Min: 18 years and Max: 28 years

Educational Qualifications: Students wishing to appear in the CWE for RRB's must full fill the below mentioned educational qualifications.


For Assistants and Officers Scale-I


  • A degree in any discipline from a recognized university of India
  • Essential: Proficiency in Local Language for the State/ UT where the RRB is located.
  • Candidates must have passed “ local language” as one of the subjects at Matriculation/Xth Standard.
Application Fees: Students will have the option to pay the application fees through Online as well as Offline mode.The application fee details are as under:
For Assistants :   i)  Rs 50: For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.
                         ii) Rs 350: For Others
For Scale-I Officers:  i)  Rs 50: For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.
                             ii) Rs 450: For Others
Selection Procedure: The selection procedure for Assistants and Officers in 82 RRB's shall consists of a Common Written Exam, which is objective in nature.The Question Paper is of 200 marks and had a duration of 2.5 hours.For Complete details on RRB Exam pattern and the Syllabus of Common Written Exam, candidates can check the link given below:


Note: There will be penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.Therefore, do attempt the question paper with utmost care.


Scorecards:


Successful students in the IBPS CWE for RRB's will be issued scorecards based on which they can apply for Jobs in 82 Regional Rural Banks.The Scorecard is valid for a period of 1 year and with is stipulated period, candidates can apply for openings in RRB's


Candidates must note that merely getting the scorecard does not entitle, you to appear in the Interview.You will try to rank preferably higher in the merit to be called for the Interview.


Registration for the IBPS RRB Exam 2012

The Registration for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2012 shall be done online at the IBPS Official Website.However the candidates will have to option to pay application fees either by Online mode or by Offline mode.


For Online Mode( 1.6.2012 to 25.6.2012): Candidates submitting the application fees via online mode are required to follow the below mentioned steps:
  • Log on to www.ibps.in.Fill the required application form with complete care.After submitting the form, you will be redirected to payment gateway where you have to pay the application fees through online payment mode Like Credit cards, Debit cards and Net banking.
  • After the successful payment, the system will generate an E-Receipt that must be preserved or printed
  • If the Registration process completed without failure, then a transaction number and password will be generated that must be noted down as it may be required in further stages


For Offline Mode( 1.6.2012 to 30.6.2012): Candidates wishing to pay application fees via offline mode are required to go though these steps.

  • Log on to www.ibps.in.Fill the required application form with complete care and click on the Submit button.
  • After submitting the Online application, the system will generate an Transaction ID and Password, that must be noted down.
  • After submitting the Online application, the system will also generate the  Challan form, that must be printed as the same is to be used for payment of application fees.
  • After two days, deposit the required application fees using the Challan form in Bank of Baroda , Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India
  • You will receive a conformation message by Email/SMS for payment of application fees.
  • Again after 3 days of depositing the application fee, login with your Registration details and take the print out of System generated application form that contains, your filled in details.
